Levels Three and Four

The New York Catholic Bible School offers two phases of intensive study covering the entire Bible.  Catechists who have completed Level 2 Catechist Formation will earn level 3 and 4 Catechist Certification by completing this program. 

BASIC BIBLE STUDIES (Level 3 Catechist Formation): Beginning students gain skills for studying and praying with the Bible.  They focus on a comprehensive study of the major books of both Testaments.

• First Year:  Exodus, Numbers, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Genesis, Joshua, Judges, 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings.
• Second Year:  Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Pauline Letters, Revelation.

ADVANCED BIBLE STUDIES (Level 4 Catechist Formation): Those who continue will cover all other books of the Bible in the third and fourth year.
